Pray The Solution Not The Problem- Part I

You're focusing on the wrong thing. Many times, when we are going through a tough time in our lives, we will become so emotionally involved with the issue that we lose focus . It's just our nature as humans to get caught up in our emotions, react, and sometimes prolong the situation or make it worse.

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

We as believers are not supposed to respond the way the world does. I mean, think back to before Jesus, when you were faced with a problem, your first reaction was to react. You reacted emotionally, then verbally, and then, when you felt you hadn't seen the results you were looking for, you reacted physically. The way you looked at life's problems was totally different then vs now! Why?

Because you were looking at everything through the FLESH, and now you are viewing these same situations through the SPIRIT!

The flesh is like a drug addict; it has no chill, no standards, no limit to the things it will do to make it feel good . So your flesh is the last thing you should be trusting when you are going through a trial.

It is very easy to become worn down when facing trial after trial and feeling exhausted. It seems like it never stops from one day to the next; there is a new issue or battle to fight that can make us question whether God is really on our side and if we are truly saved at all.

This place, for many believers, can make or break their relationships with God because we expect Him to show up and handle whatever situation or problem we are facing right then and there. We lose focus of the battle as a whole and get caught up in the physical things we see happening. You always hear people testifying about how God showed up and showed out! What we don’t see is the tears, the anger that starts to build ( sometimes at God), the confusion in our mind, the depression and hopelessness of feeling like the situation is never going to turn around.

Colossians 3:2Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

There is nothing like a trial and test to reveal who you truly are and where your faith lies in Jesus.

This is any for the faint-hearted! Trust and believe! I was recently in a battle that had been going on for over a decade (no fault of God's). The battle lasted way longer than it should have, and that was because of me. Like most of us, when we are not fully ready to give it all to God .....I believed the lie of the enemy that I didn’t have to stop all my bad habits right away; I could just keep doing me, trying to assert my kingdom authority, and God was going to show up and, in spite of my sin, deliver me.

Lie, Lie, Lie. I mean Lie from the pit of hell yall!

You see, not only did the enemy lie, but I believed it, being an adolescent in Christ, I knew better; I was no longer a baby. However, when God did not show up the way I wanted, I got angry with Him and began to question why. I questioned God so much I began to get scared because I felt my heart changing toward him.

Why is everyone else getting delivered, and not me? They're over there doing what they please, living their best life, and I’m not doing half of what they are doing! I started angrily reciting God's word back to him, almost challenging him to do what he said he would, knowing full well I was wrong and in habitual sin.

Understand THIS Part : God does not have to do anything for anybody !

He blesses whom He chooses because He is God. Periodt! The protection and provision you have is not because of you or your world, but because of his grace and mercy towards you. The enemy knows the word of God better than you and I. That is why he is able to claim legal rights over many believers because God is sovereign; he will not go back on his word, no matter how much he loves you , how much he feels sorry for you, or no matter how much you cry , plead, or beg.

Even more so when your hands are not clean, you are not lifting up holy hands, you are never in a position of true authority, not in God's sight, and not in the enemy's sight. The spirit realm and demon do not respect the authority of a lukewarm believer, and certainly not one who is in habitual sin .

Mark 13:31- Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

If you ever begin to hear these types of thoughts or hear yourself complaining to God in such a way that is on the brink of disrespect. STOP AND DISCERN! Whose voice is speaking to you? That is not God, that is not you, that is the enemy! This is a very dangerous place to be in, because if you do not cast down these imaginations, they will take root in you and begin to manifest in your life, separating you from God and taking you further and further away until you forget how to pray and tap into the kingdom.
