God Knows My Heart-Sin Justification

Even before I was a believer and walking with God anytime I would hear someone say "God Knows My Heart" it sounded like an excuse , almost like  "See What Had Happened Was"…

One thing I admire about someone is their ability to OWN their stuff , whether it’s healthy , unhealthy , accepted or not . Owning who you are , what you are about and what you do – is to me- an admirable trait. The Atheist lets you know they don’t believe in God ! They are unapologetic about it .

Owning our decisions , our choices: lets people know from the jump , this is me and allows the other party to choose if and how they want to interact with you ! But it’s the -God Knows MY Heart “ people I can’t get with … They do , say  and behave in ways that are offensive and disrespectful to others or they live their lives how they want , doing what they want and instead of being bold in their decisions or repenting and working to be delivered they come with the See What Had Happened Was…..

Jesus said this in Revelation 3:16 : So then because thou art luke warm, and neither hot nor cold , I will spue ( vomit) thee out from my mouth.

When I was heavy in sin ,I often went back and forth between two states - I was proud- refusing to admit I had done wrong or on the opposite side condemning and shaming myself to the point it would drive me right back into my sin.  I was praying , had some form of relationship with God, but my life was unholy , unclean , unrighteous in every way, but even then the one thing I could not bring myself to say even though I was in every word a lukewarm believer was “God Knows My Heart”.

It felt fake , I was already living a lie , feeling shame for not being the best I could be for the Kingdom of God and myself , but then to make an excuse that would justify my dirt would have just been too low down even for me .

Using this line as a justification to sin , as a justification to do what you want, to not say sorry, to not change  or to be less than what you were created and called to be - Fools NO ONE. From the time that phrase leaves your mouth , the sinner, the saint , the average joe knows you are as counterfeit as a 100 bill made on a laser jet printer!

I'm going to get some people right here - like what did she just say ???

Point is if you like to get drunk -own it, if you are smoking- own it , if you are fornicating- own it , if you gossip and slander -own it , it you are a liar -own it , if you are selfish , like to cause division , are jealous, mean spirited, a backbiter, selfish , greedy , a manipulator , a murderer what ever you are - Own It . I did not say keep DOING IT - I said -OWN IT

When you are truly sorry , repenting and want to change you never have to say God Knows My Heart – because yes he does know your heart … Psalms 139 tells us just how much God knows about us – his creation- Psalms 139 23:24 Search  me O God, and know my heart : try me and know my thoughts. And see is there be any wicked way in  me and lead me in the way everlasting .

See the last part is where it gets tricky , because those who say God Knows My Heart they never finish the scripture – where we are to ask God to try us to know our thoughts to scan our heart and if there be anything wicked thing or anything not like him to remove it , to heal ,to change and lead us into the way everlasting .

God does know our hearts- he is constantly searching the heart and trying the reins. Jeremiah 17:10.

Think about the last time you threw up , you vomited …… The act of vomiting is to expel something unpleasant from the body , it is the bodies reflex- a forceful expulsion of stomach contents through the mouth and way to rid the body of harmful substances or irritants from the digestive system.

Just think on that for a moment- how distasteful it must be for Jesus to encounter a lukewarm believer that it makes him want to expel them from his body. Remember WE are the body of Christ . While none of us are or will ever be perfect Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” what we must do to be real with God , with those around us , because hiding behind lines like God Knows My Heart with no confession & no repentance is spiritual apathy .

It is harmful to you as a believer because it stops your spiritual growth , and makes the Lord spiritually want to expel you from his presence.

I'm going to say what some people wont - whatever your do in this life ! Stand On It ! Be genuine and real about it because it is only from that place you will truly live a genuine existence and be at peace!
